It doesn't work at all! I click "Slide Show" and get a blank/black screen with an error message: "The Slide Show has encountered an error and cannot continue. Please press the Esc key to close the Slide Show and try again."
Same goes for the screensaver - with a different error message.

Can you post details about your hardware config? I'll try to see if we can reproduce the issue. It may be a known bug.

P4 3.0GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD, ATI Radeon 9600XT (with ATI Beta 2 catalyst drivers, although error occured before this I think) - 1680x1050 display, using AC'97 Audio. Windows Vista is on a secondary partition, XP on the primary. - The funny thing is that it's one of the features I most wanted to play with! :P

I have the same problem. P4 2.66 1G RAM , HDD 74G raptor, 160 samsung - Dell 2405FPW display and sound blaster extreme music. In photo gallery and media center, I can't do slide show, which I want most. Same error message showed. Can I fix it? -- Woo from San Diego

I have the same problem as well. It started occuring after I tried to switch to another type of transistion.

John... any update as of yet - I have another machine with lmost identical config as this and no problem - I didn't install ATI drivers on that machine though...???

Same issue. Worked fine after installation. After switching to another transition, I get the same error message.
I'll provide the machine details if you want.
